Amit is a Chemical Process Engineer with over fifteen years of experience in technical policy management, process engineering, food and renewable energy research. He has worked across diverse industry sectors including Oil and Gas, Food and Drinks, Power, Construction, Chemicals and Renewables in technical leadership positions delivering complex projects worldwide exploring new energy initiatives and reducing carbon footprint. As a Technical Policy Manager, Amit has led technical policy projects within Chemical Engineering on key policy issues such as the Role of Hydrogen in Net Zero, Future Energy Technology Mix, Responsible AI, Critical Minerals, Fit for Future – UK Apprenticeship Scheme by working closely with diverse stakeholders including academic and industry partners, government and professional engineering institutions. Currently, Amit is leading the Sustainability function of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) as the Sustainability Policy Manager within the Policy and Technical team.
